The pitch
Monument bank pitch was centred around the look and feel of the app: although an MVP had been launched, the brand was now looking to refine and elevate the experience on their app, bringing in new features and patterns, as well as an improved design language that matched the brand modern and sophisticated tone.
Part of the ask was to show how key journeys would look like. In those journeys were included things like the onboarding flow, the insight-driven content, or how to display and interact with ever-changing financial data.

The app key journeys were revisited with fresh eyes, trying to identify opportunities for improvement of the experience.
At the same time we conducted interviews with customers to capture their feedback.
Both of these activities informed new user journeys that were simpler and included new features. With these improved journeys we started exploring a new visual language that would not only lift the look and feel but also relied on new design principles and guidelines. Things like colour or typography now gained purpose and hierarchy, at the same time as new content components were created to serve the user at specific moments of the experience.
Videos showcasing the new app were created and placed in a new microsite to support the proposal.
Also, the team created hi-fi interactive prototypes and put them in a mobile phone that was then sent with the proposal, making sure that the experience was as close as possible to our vision.
On the pitch feedback our proposal was described as the best creative of all having surpassed expectations but the cost was too high for the budget, and thus pitch was lost.
